WP Multilang Press turns one WordPress site into a multilingual one without post copies. Translate pages in the visual editor, get drafts via OpenAI, review them before saving, and localize meta descriptions, Open Graph, JSON-LD, hreflang, and the sitemap.

WP Multilang Press is a WordPress multilingual plugin for blogs, knowledge bases, and service websites. It keeps one source post, creates separate language URLs, and inserts translations from its own tables when displaying the page.

The visual editor helps select text directly in the preview. For a long article, you can request a translation of the title, excerpt, and content via OpenAI in one operation. The model response is not published automatically: the editor reviews each wording and confirms saving manually.

The plugin translates visible content and attributes, uses WordPress language packs for the interface, and handles the page's SEO/GEO layer: meta descriptions, Open Graph, Twitter Card, and JSON-LD text fields. For search engines, it generates self-canonical, reciprocal hreflang, x-default, and a multilingual sitemap.

Requirements

  • Permalinks — any structure except “Plain”.
  • AI translation requires your own OpenAI API key; manual translation works without one.

Not included in the current version

  • Translation of slugs and URLs for individual posts.
  • Full WooCommerce localization.
  • Background queue for translating the entire site.
  • Translation memory, glossary, and translation version history.
  • Translation of content added by dynamic JavaScript after page load.
